Irish Dance
There are many Irish Dancing Schools throughout the area. Children as young as four years old learn in local clubs and workshops. Throughout the year they attend shows and competitions to exhibit their talents. Irish Dancers are part of a broader traditional dance heritage where social dancers take part in “Set Dancing” a form of quadrille dancing with four couples, CeilíDancing is a larger varied formation of two to sixteen people, Sean Nós Dancing is the Old Style Step Dance.
